Teaching
Mode and Aid
|
Besides theory and practical classes, seminars and
workshops are conducted by eminent industry experts from
time to time. Students are sent for compulsory training to the industry, to have hands on information about the recent industrial trends. Guest lecturers from the
industry and academics are appointed as and when required. Modern tools and methods are used to conduct the theory as well as practical classes.
Mentorship
In DSMS, we believe in overall development of students from academics to various skills development, to nurture and provide guidance, particularly to the weaker students. Senior, experienced faculty members assume the role of " High Mentor" .

Student Teacher Interaction |
Students study alongside peers, with ample opportunity to interact and exchange ideas in class or at the regular social gatherings at DSMS. We believe that this interaction is as important to their success as the qualification they seek.

Seminar and Workshop |
|
Regular seminar and workshops are conducted by experienced
professionals from the hotels like Taj, Oberoi, Club Mahindra, Grand Hyatt etc and
independent renowned consultancies.

| Food fest and theme parties |
|
In order to develop a sense of
entrepreneurship on and above technical skills, students organise theme parties and food fest. |

Industrial and Vocational Training |
|
Apart from undergoing
mandatory industrial training in star category hotels, students are sent for training to hone their skills at specialised fields during the long vacations, if they so desire. |
|
Examination and Evaluation
|
Final examination of each semester is conducted and evaluated by West Bengal University of Technology. Semester and Internal Tests / Slot Examinations are held as per WBUT norms & schedule. However, periodical class tests, gradation tests, practical tests, seminars etc. are held for continuous evaluation and development of students throughout the year.
